Not a bad weekend

Saturday morning and I took Jamie to his Kanga Cricket. The white Kanga shown is one Debi and the kids saw on a recent trip to a local reserve - just wanted to see how to load a piccy - sorry)This week he was not so happy as the other team had some "fast bowlers" and another who bowled every ball as a wide . So needless to say Jamie couldn't hit either , and was out twice. not too chuffed. The Team lost too so he felt he wasn't coming back next week. - he won't anyway as the team have a week off as the odd team out next weekend!!! After his 6 and a four last week and a wicket I think his early sights were set high - Shane Warne watch out..

In the Afty we went to Seacliff beach to the Surf Club Trial. Basically kids of all ages get put in theor age groups and then have 2.5 hours of beach games a surf fun., I have never seen Georgia run so far, or wad in and out of water so much. Needless to say, it beats sitting in front of a play station. The parents - well we had a hard time on the beach in our picnic chairs minding the puppy (Charlie). The only thing missing was a couple of cool beers. That will get sorted for next week. The Surf Club is quite social after the kids have finished with free barby for the kids and a bar upstairs with terrace to take in the early evening rays. not a bad way to spend the day.

I will have to work out how in future weeks to slip off to the golf club without anyone noticing on the beach!

Sunday was a chill out morning (when is it not) and we went to a Phil Hoffman Travel Travel expo at the Hilton Hotel in the city. I hope to work for these guys so it was great to see them all in action. A very busy public show and lots of interest in their propositions. After that we had to buy some furniture for the Garden Terrace, the kids had a blueberry muffin each so Debi , Georgia and Jamie were happy.

I managed to negotiate getting dropped off at Hindmarsh Stadium to watch Adelaide Utd beat Perth Glory 2-1. Derek Finch doing the honours and giving me a lift home.
